Nick G.

This is an event for those interested in trying out “indie” tabletop roleplaying games and meet and network with others who like that kind of thing. Strictly speaking this just means games that are alternatives to more common large press games like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, World/Chronicles of Darkness, etc. More loosely this means games that may be produced by smaller independent designers and studios, comparatively rules light games or games with rules that are differently focused, games that use non-traditional mechanics or play structures, highly narrative, story, or fiction driven games, and so on. Specific examples include Apocalypse World/Dungeon World/Masks/Monster Hearts/PbtA, Blades in the Dark/Scum and Villany/BitD, Fate, Burning Wheel/Mouse Guard/Torchbearer, Agon, and so forth.

This event runs every other week. Each time the GM Nick comes prepared to run a one-shot something. All are welcome to come and tryout whatever it is. Precons will be provided unless the game is light enough to throw characters together in 15 minutes or less, in which case we’ll make them on the spot. Others are also welcome to come prepared to run some alternative of their own. If that ever happens all attending will vote on what to play.
