GAME DESCRIPTIONS

Call of Cthulhu – The Dare – The Old Barnaker House. Every kid has heard about it. Everybody has a different awful story about it. All of them agree it is a very bad place. But here you are on Halloween Night, all because of that jerk Roger. He dared you and your friends to spend the night there. You couldn’t let him bully you.You will show him who is chicken! Everybody knows that there are no such things as ghosts. Everybody knows that, right? So get your slingshot and your pocket knife. Grab some candy and ready your Rubik’s Cube. You and
your friends are going to go face-to-face with the horrors of the Barnaker House. Hopefully you will live to see the dawn.

Chaotica/Killer Breakfast – Part of the DM WorkshopAn experimental fusion of 2 concepts. Chaotica is a game where the players make new rules. From giving Dragonborn wings they can summon, to having the duration of Sorcerer Spells be infinite, to cutting the gravity of the world in half, there’s no facet of the game that can’t be modified. The official Killer Breakfasts are run by Tracy Hickman at Gencon. This is going to be a discount version, but the basics are the same. Characters will die. A lot. and as characters die, new ones will come in to replace them.  And as new characters come in, they bring newly created rules with them.

Dread – Noheji 1996. You’ve been invited to the funeral of your late grandfather, you weren’t particularly close, but your mother has insisted you go to honor your old man one last time. The tickets were paid for and the hotel has been covered too, all you need to do is arrive. So you do. The town of Noheji is quaint and right up against Mutsu Bay and isn’t too far from a dense forest and tall mountains. You’ve never liked hiking, at least you never tried hiking. But lately anything to get out of town is a welcome one, as your first days in Noheji have been particular. There is a festival being held, though you’ve confident festivals usually only last a few days at most, the decorations seem… worn. The locals are nice though they tend to stare a little too much. And lastly, you’re not the only person at this funeral, which honestly makes sense, but what is odd is some of the other attendees claim they are here for their grandfather’s death and they’re most certainly not family of yours. Who’s name was on the obituary again?

Fiasco – Fiasco is a roleplaying game about ordinary people with powerful ambition and poor impulse control. Select a scenario and build a story scene-by-scene where everyone is connected in some way, and everyone has their own objectives. In the end it will probably all go south in a glorious heap of jealousy, murder, and recrimination. In short, it will most certainly be a “Fiasco!”

GI JoeG.I. Joe is the code name for America’s daring, highly-trained special mission force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. The G.I. Joe RPG uses Renegade Games’s Essence System in a military sci-fi setting. Players will make a character using simplified rules and participate in a mission. While some familiar faces from the franchise will show up, no knowledge of the property is needed. Friendly to new players.

Honey Heist – It’s Honeycon! You are going to undertake the greatest heist the world has ever seen. You have a complex plan that requires precise timing and execution. To make matters more complicated, YOU’RE A BEAR!

Sentinel Comics RPG – A superhero RPG designed to feel like a Silver Age comic book. It’s simple system allows character and story to be at the ‘fore, instead of mechanics bogging the game down. Players will create a character using simplified rules, then investigate the mystery of a Marasberg, a town where the inhabitants no longer speak a recognizable language. Decent for new players. Having 3 sets of dice makes the game flow a bit better, but is not necessary. There will be loner dice available.
